Where development has no disability.
To develop competent, capable, caring leaders through the vehicle of service.
To provide adults living with disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative, leadership skills and to serve their communities.
Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities. The Raccoon Valley (Jefferson) Kiwanis Aktion Club has 25 members who are actively serving in our community. Proceeds from our BTF cycle event support their various activities, mission, and core values.
“The leadership qualities of the Raccoon Valley Kiwanis Aktion Club is truly exemplary. The club members run their meetings, make decisions as to how to serve the community and how to raise funds to make a difference. They function in many ways in parallel to the Jefferson Kiwanis Club in finding ways to make life better for the citizens of the area. As the District Aktion Club Administrator I consider many of the members as close friends. Further proof of the quality of the member leadership is the fact that one of their members, Brenda, was selected from over 11,000 Aktion Club members to be a part of “Kiwanis Day at The White House” in September of 2012.” The Raccoon Valley Kiwanis Aktion Club is one of the premier clubs of the over 500 in 8 countries around the world.
